At Accommodating Homes, LLC, we recognize the fact that most people want to spend their later years right where they are - in their own homes.
We also know that there is an increasingly wide array of resources that can make "aging in place" a realistic, rewarding and even stylish proposition. These options include everything from assistive tools and technologies, to carefully-considered home modifications, to innovative home products, to universal design solutions.
Accommodating Homes' occupational therapists - licensed health professionals experienced in assessing the fit between an individual and his or her environment - bring all of these resources to bear in helping clients create comfortable, safe and accessible homes. Based on extensive data-gathering and several home visits, they can provide you with comprehensive recommendations and a detailed action plan that are truly reflective of your unique needs and situation. And, when you're ready to make some changes, you'll have access to our registry of expert service and product providers who can consult with you on implementation and costs.
Our occupational therapists, some of whom also have the CAPS (Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist) designation, work primarily with individuals and families in the Hartford, Middlesex, New Haven and Tolland Counties of Connecticut. They also consult with building and interior design professionals who have clients with health issues that require environmental adaptations.
